The Allfine was purchased to enable me to check e-mails whilst in my Caravan.
This works fine and naturally it is somewhat slower than my home computer.
Major dissappointment was the inability to print some notes I had made on holiday
using Wordpad. I was unable to download a printer driver onto the Allfine.
Probably a good Computer to introduce young children to computing.

My first experience, in my 79 years, of a portable computer, therefore I needed help from my son to get started. The handbook was a bit short on detail for the inexperienced. He couldn’t get it to connect to the Internet by WiFi via my current computer system. However, as my primary aim was to use it to type a travelogue of my holiday abroad, this was not such a limitation initially.
Having been shown how to access the Word Processing application, I found it very easy to use.
One problem I frequently experienced whilst typing was that the text I was inserting would suddenly jump back into lines above at random where I had already written, necessitating a cut-and-paste to remove from up in the previous text down to the end of my typing.
I cannot comment on other applications of this Mini Netbook because I haven’t used them. I would have liked to send e-mail whilst abroad, but that may come later.
Once, when it locked-up and wouldn’t respond to pressing any key – not even after operating the Reset switch – I just had to let the battery run down until it switched itself off, and then recharge for normal operation to be resumed.
I found it very convenient and light to carry.
