I’m incredibly happy that I made the decision to buy one of these. I even came close to buying an LCD TV with PC input, but then I found this! If you’re like me and TV card quality is just not good enough – you have your answer. I cannot recommend this enough, I tell everyone who wants an LCD TV to just buy a nice monitor and plug this gadget in, it saves so much money! The AV/Composite quality is definately good enough for playing PS2 and Xbox etc (not sure about Xbox 360 and other new consoles, but probably good enough – maybe not get the full quality of HD viewing). You don’t even need a computer for one of these, all you need is a monitor and an aerial lead. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. Yes, it can make your PC display slightly blurry, but I just changed the ‘phase’ on my monitor control panel to get it back to normal and it works fine! An easy 5/5, the best purchase I’ve made in a long time!

After some messing about trying to get prepared so i can rig up my consoles to my widescreen TFT, by chance i came across this!!

Anywhere on the internet selling products that convert composite signals into VGA were around £[...] or more!!

Anyway after purchasing this off Amazon i eagerly waited for it to arrive! when it did i couldnt wait to rip it out of the packaging and try it out!! In the back of my mind i thought it’d be like any other product that was cheap and was ment to do this!! BUT NO!!! It worked a treat! quick and easy to set up and every function i could want for what i was going to use it for and more!!

Sound is a bit tinny from the built in speaker but once jacked into a dvd player or something the sound was perfect! just click the button and let is search for the channel and it stores them automatically!

my only quams were that it got a little warm on the back but seemed to be uneffected by this, and that there was no way to plug my computer into this to be routed straight through so i could use that as well as this, but that was easily solved by using the computer through composite!

with the remote control just sit back and watch whatever you want quickly and easily! a nice bonus is the wake up and sleep timer! setting them are doddles! You can set the device to wake up and tune to the channel you want so you dont miss you program or sleep after a certain amount of time incase you, like me fall asleep sometimes during boring programs!

i definetly recomend this product! worth the money and does the job!!!

Well, it works and takes a few minutes to set up. I bought the MSI USB Tuner, could only tune into a few channels, so I gave up and bought the Gadmei.

Colours are a bit off the mark, but for £30, hook up a 17inch LCD that cost £99 and you have a decent TV for little money. Don’t however expect CRT type picture quality

PS – I have seen the same unit selling for £40++ on Ebay.

For about £30 I expected little of this item, but it’s outclassed my expectations by far. The item is a lot smaller than I expected from the images, and the menu system is a lot more intuitive.

There is absolutely no lag when playing games through it (which was my main fear when buying it), although it was only in black and white to begin with, the manual wasn’t in a badly translated form of broken English, and it was very easy to set it to a PAL signal from NTSC which it defaulted to.

The video signal when gaming is very clear when using the phono cable, far better than my previous method of using S-Video. The range of resolutions was impressive, and it makes old consoles look fantastic on a 1280×1024 LCD display.

The speaker isn’t really worth using (as expected), I would recommend a simple jack switch to connect to your speakers if you’re connecting multiple things through it.

The main thing I would tell to anyone who wants to run their old consoles through their PC monitor is to not hesitate when buying this item. Don’t be put off by the price tag (or the higher prices of other competitor’s products), just go for it, and don’t look back.

I just received this box. Plugged it in and everything works as described. I’ve been watching TV through the Aerial input on my PC monitor and the DVD also works. Great product for the price.
