I bought this after trying the ESP3 I wanted to go wireless other added benifits are second photo tray for printing 6×4 photos. Your paper is closed in keeps dust from getting on it and it does duplex printing. I had a problem with it at the start it was printing all photos with a pink sheen across the photo I tried cleaning heads & realigning but still no joy. I then phoned Kodak using the number in the instruction book. I explained the problem to the lady she booked me for a return call that i got later that day 2 working days later i had a new print head after installing problem was solved and it is working great.

I was a little nervous about purchasing this printer due to mix reviews and never using a kodak before, but the ink costs made me take a chance and I am very glad I did.
It took me only 5 minutes to set up on wireless network and a few minutes more setting up my laptop (due to installation disc downloading latest drivers for printer) This was the first time I have ever attempted to set up a wireless printer – so was expecting a few problems but found none.
Prints documents with no problems through wireless settings and you can adjust quality like any other printer, but even on draft quality the prints looked good.
Copies came out much better than expected, scans with no problems.
Photographs are the best I have seen from any printer, although only if you use Kodak paper. Tried other photo papers and found the quality to be very poor. Kodak Paper 10/10, other photo papers 2/10.
This might explain why other reviewers have marked the printer with a low rating due to them using non Kodak paper.
So if you are happy to print photographs using only Kodak paper then this is a great printer for you.
Also the claims made by Kodak about their ink costs do seem to be a very good indicator, so may be slightly more costly to purchase than other brands of printers, but you will soon save money if you use a lot of printer cartridges at present. You should save money within a year even if you do not print that much.
So I feel Kodak have produced a very good printer.

I must disagree with one of the other reviewers – this is fantastic at printing A4 photos, as well as 4×6, and web pages, text document and even party invites – I recently bought an ESP7 and it’s a great all-round printer for the home and study – the inks last 3 times as long as my old HP and are less than half the price! I printed over 50 of my wedding photos in A4 and it didn’t even use up the colour cartridge.
I did have to run a print head clean, and do a nozzle correction (go to maintenance / Nozzle correction or print head clean) which fixed a couple of problems I had with the initial photo quality but it’s so easy to use with the onboard screen instructions.
I also checked the print resolution on the Kodak website and it prints up to 9600dpi but my experience of printing photos is that 300-600dpi is plenty.
The photo quality is fantastic, it has two paper trays (A4 and 5×7/4×6) so don’t have to switch from plain to photo each time.
It has a duplexer so I can save on paper too by printing on both sides.
It’s incredibly easy to use – set up is easy straight from the box, I didn’t have to use any cables to connect WiFi – the printer found my network and the on-screen instructions are really easy to follow.
The kids are always printing photos from memory card and I used to have to limit what they print – now I don’t have to worry as the ink is such great value (and great quality).
The copier/scanner is also really great – I copy all my documents at home now and have even scanned in a load of old photos – which you can do three at a time because the software recognises the photos on the glass.
Well done Kodak!

I did read most of the mixed reviews before buying, so I thought I would give it a chance, especially with the adverts about saving on ink costs. Also as it is wireless and we have three laptops (kids) & a home computer, so I thought it would be a great replacement.
I received the printer and went through the installation instructions, they were very easy and had no problems. I will add that my wireless router/modem sits 4.5 meters away from the printer, there are no obstructions between the two. Once everything was installed, the printer worked fine. The next day I went to use it and the small “WIFI” symbol failed to light up on the printer and the computer could not connect as well, indicating a printer error. I tried everything, with no luck. Then I soon found the printer was playing a game of chance, if you turned it off then on …. sometimes it did work – as indicated by the “WIFI” symbol lighting up on the printer – then sometimes not. After a few days of this I gave up, contacted Amazon to replace the printer in the case it was a “one off ” problem.
I received the replacement printer and had the same problem as above, I contacted Kodak Support who kept pointing towards my 2 year old wireless router that is popular brand, and I have no problems with 4 x computers & a WII console connecting to this all by wireless. I did not plan to also replace the wireless router as well, just to maybe get the printer to work.
So now I am returning the second printer for another make, I am grateful that Amazon do have a smoothe returns system in place. One last point, although I have been able to use this printer on a very limited basis by mainly using the usb cable, the ink is showing 1/2 used!
Anyone planning on buying this product … good luck and I hope it works for you!

I purchased this printer as I was fed up of buying expensive ink cartridges for my Brother DCP 350C, I have never known a printer use ink so fast!! I am very pleased with the Kodak ESP7. It was so easy to set up the wireless network, it took about 10mins. The ink is cheap and lasts well. The quality of the photos it prints is also very good, you cannot tell the difference from one printed off on the ESP7 and one printed by Truprint. For the ordinary person who wants to print their holiday or party snaps this is perfect. As for noise, it is makes no more noise than my Brother, or indeed any of the HP ones at my work!! Overall an excellent printer.
