I have had other flash drives before, but the Freecom databar has to be the best so far, most flash drives are very cheap looking and feel flimsy, this is where the Freecom stick wins hands down with its build quality.
The design is sleek and stylish and I would recommend this product to anyone wishing to buy a good quality product.

I bought this USB stick a couple days ago. So far it’s been working as it should. It’s very small and lightweight. The cap is securely attached, so it doesn’t fall off. The USB stick didn’t need a system reboot (I have windows xp professional edition) and worked on every single computer I tried instantly (even mac). 4GB is also a lot of space, which I truly need, so this is pure value for money. I’m extremely pleased with the warranty of 1 year (and hope I won’t need it). So far, there hasn’t been any drawbacks. There is some free-trial software on the stick, which I haven’t had the time to check out yet – so I can’t comment on that. Unfortunately the stick isn’t password protected but you can download data protection software from the internet and encrypt all sensitive data on it, so that could save you the extra pounds you’d be required to spend on a USB stick with password protection. I’d definitely recommend this product because it’s just pretty, does what it’s supposed to do and seems very robust and reliable – and don’t forget the cheap price.
Update: 19 months after the purchase, and the product is still like new. Never had any problems at all with it. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone.

Well built, sturdy, a cap that fits on securely, a hole for a lanyard. the 4gb is well priced. I have had a number of USB Thumb Drives ranging from cheap n’ cheerful to expensive. This is by far the best and a fantastic price.

I was worried this would not fit in my new slim Apple Keyboard, but it’s the right size and fits very well in the spare USB2.0 port on the keyboard. The speed is good and the body and plug look robust. The cap clicks and stays in place well. With this price it’s a great value.
